This wedding took place at the amazing Cathedral Peak hotel in the Drakensburg . Janeke and Michael are originally from a town just outside of Durban and now reside in Australia . Their wedding was a small , intimate affair and I was really excited to travel up to that side of the world to be part of their day . I arrived 2 days before the wedding as Michael and Janeke wanted me to ‘take in the surroundings’ before I had to start shooting . I couldn’t agree with them more !! They are really down to earth , friendly and warm people and I felt right at home in their company. I did a scout the day before planning my couple shoot and the weather was perfect leading up to the wedding . As it was a day wedding I wanted to shoot them after all the formalities towards the end of the day in the good light . As this time started approaching I saw big ominous clouds start to roll in , but luckily the rain just held out and the clouds ended up giving the images a great mood to them .
