- Talya & Paul got married at the Sante Hotel , resort & spa in Stellenbosch . Coordinated by Anne Mann from Anne Mann Celebrates, the weather on this day was beautiful [perhaps too beautiful in terms of the heat!!] , but I always say rather be too hot than rain and wind ! I was at school with Paul’s older brother and recognized some familiar faces whilst photographing their day . Both Paul and Talya are really down to earth , chilled people and I captured some fantastic moments throughout their amazing day . - Mia looked absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day . I only really met her on the day and her shy , understated beauty really translated through the photos I captured . This was a true Afrikaans wedding with not a lot of English spoken on the day . I tried to fit in by speaking a bit of Afrikaans during the hair/make-up portion of the day and quickly stopped when after each attempted Afrikaans sentence that came out my mouth , a chorus of giggles promptly followed This wedding took place at Roodezand in Tulbach , and was my first time shooting at this charming venue . - Another beautiful wedding at Webersburg in Stellenbosch which was coordinated by Lisa from Talk Functions . Janet & Tony were an absolute pleasure to photograph . Both very unassuming and enjoying the day as it unfolded . There was a ridiculous sunset that evening and I remember more than half the guests all leaving their tables to go outside and get a few amazing shots on their phones etc . - Christine & Bobby got married at the Stellenbosch Moedergemeente Church , and then headed off the Val de Vie Polo Estate to have their reception . Both Christine & Bobby are really cool people and I got on great with them , which made it that much more fun to photograph their amazing day ! There were a fantastic mix of people at this wedding as Bobby is originally from Ireland and had his whole family down. I wish you guys the best for the future !!! [...]

- This wedding was amazeballs !! [I heard Bonnie and her friends use this word about 30 times during the day so an appropriate adjective!] . Bonnie got ready at the opulent Ellerman House and their ceremony was held at a church in Sea Point. After the ceremony all the guests headed to the Roundhouse in Camps Bay for an awesome party . Both Bonnie and Antonie are super cool people and I really got on great with them which always makes the day that much more enjoyable . Chanel and Elizabeth from Bonton Events coordinated this beautiful wedding and did a fantastic job !! [...]

- Jules & Graham live in Australia and came down to Cape Town to have their wedding at the gorgeous Vrede en Lust wine estate on the most perfect day in October . Both Jules and Graham are really easy going people and the day went just as planned . This was a pretty intimate wedding with close friends and family joining them to celebrate . - Indi & Diana are from the States and came down to Cape Town for an intimate wedding ceremony . When I say intimate I mean the entire wedding party consisted of 8 people including the bride and groom ! The ceremony happened at Boulders Beach [famous for the penguins waddling around] and everyone headed to a restaurant in Kalk bay harbour for the reception . I just photographed the first part of their day and felt like I was a friend who came along with a camera ! Co-ordinated by Kate from Wedding Concepts this was by far the most chilled wedding I have ever captured .

- Lindy runs her own event planning company called Event Affairs and its always a great compliment for me when someone who's in the industry asks me to capture their wedding day . Held at the Nitida Wine Estate in Durbanville , Lindy and David had a non traditional Jewish wedding , combining some of the different elements from both their backgrounds into the ceremony and reception . Thank you Lindy for making me feel like one of the guests !

- I'm always up for the challenge of lighting dark spaces and this was definitely one of those weddings . A cold winters day at Vredenheim was the setting for Lauren and Chris' wedding celebration . I had to get a little creative for the couple shoot as we couldn't venture outside but we got some fun , beautiful images . The dance floor got a little wild towards the end and I was there to capture it all !!

- Hidden Valley is one of my favorite wedding venues in Cape Town[mainly because the chef/owner of the Overture restaurant, Bertus Basson, produces some of the most incredible food I have ever seen/eaten in my life!] . Adrian, originally from South Africa, lives in London where he met Maria who is of Austrian and Asian descent . These two are hopelessly is love and quite literary get lost in each others eyes whenever they interacted throughout the day . It really was beautiful to see ! The vibe at this wedding was amazing . Real , raw and honest . During the speeches my eyes started welling up while I was shooting and I had only known the couple for a few hours .
